Prevention of HIV/AIDS Project-Drug Users
 
     

To prevent a future HIV epidemic among the Drug users in Bangladesh, Padakhep consortium has had an HIV/AIDS prevention program since August’2004. This program is being run under support of the National AIDS/STD Program (NASP), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and UNICEF-Bangladesh. Main aims to create a common platform to tackle HIV/AIDS among the high-risk populations. This program promotes responsible and safe behavior of people in general and at risk people in particular, in partnership with different organizations to carry out the program.

Main Objective :
To reduce the spread of HIV among IDUs and Heroin Smokers to promote safer behavior like safe injecting and safer sex practices following Harm Reduction strategy.
